FAQ
Does it slow my agent down?
Barely. Calls we only record never block. When one needs your answer, it waits inside your editor’s own timeout and no longer.
What happens if Warden is not running?
Your editor carries on as it did before us. Claude Code, VS Code and Codex fall back to their own prompts, and Cursor asks you about shell and MCP calls.
What does it run on?

Does my code leave my machine?
No. We never record your prompts or your files, and the daemon only listens on your own machine. Your chats are encrypted end to end, so we cannot read them either. Approval requests do travel through our relay, which sees the command, its paths and the workspace name. Please read our privacy policy for the full picture.
